Architectural Design I
Project 1: Geometry and Form
Producing two tattoo stamps to display an understanding in elements and principles of design. The tattoo stamps will then be developed into 3d models. The overall idea of the project is to introduce the idea of design and exploration of different types of design.
An exploration of shape and axis displaying a podium like structure rotating as it goes upwards around an axis
Space and symmetry is being displayed in this design as the 3d model shows, it starts of larger at the top and as it descends it gets narrower creating a void in the middle but also keeping it symmetrical on all four sides
Overall this project opened up a creativity path which will become useful throughout the semester and the entirety of the course.
Project 2: Structure and Body; Materials, Anthropometric and Ergonomic Exploration
This projected required designing of a life size 3d structure to display understanding of anthropometry and ergonomics. It would be formed from recycled materials. Aiming to create a self isolation structure since self isolation has been the case due to this COVID 19 pandemic. The structure had to relate to form and space and also to make this happen, understanding of materials used and the space around us had to be a priority.

The project came with many difficulties, but at the end of the day as an Architect that is what we are here for. solving problems and finding the best possible solution. The project paved the way of self understanding and understanding of material also.
Project 3: Space and Sensory; self exploration through spaces.
To incorporate all knowledge gained from project 1 and 2 to create and design a structure that is both practical and poetic. Coming up with a narrative to capture the attention of the audience and sell your structure. The use of proper materials was also tested.

DPSJ
Despite the project being hectic, it is the effort and perseverance put in it that makes it worth it in the end. From project 1 to project 3 I can see my progress, though small it is still progress and that's the mentality needed to achieve success. The projects faced with this semester will better prepare me for the upcoming challenges next semester.
